SOUTH BATHURST HOT SPOT

Recently published in the Sunday Telegraph Residex showed house prices in South Bathurst jumped 15.9 per cent in the 12 months to March 2011.

The median house price at the moment is $284,500, up from $245,000 making South Bathurst on eof the top 10 best performers in country NSW.

Chris Boserio said South Bathurst is a great area of town. "Not many houses come up for sale in that area - it is rare", she said.

When they do, they get turned over quickly. It is a lovely area, close to town, but still tucked away."

James Thompson, owner of Professionals Bathurst, real estate growth is not restricted to one part of Bathurst. The whole city is growing.

"It is hard to define what South Bathurst is. We only have three regions that are defined under the one postcode, that is Kelso, Bathurst & West Bathurst," he said.

"I would say South Bathurst is East of Havannah Street & South of Rocket Street, but other people I know would disagree with that."

Mr Thompson said they have increased sales by 38 per cent and some of that is due to the council.

WEDDING OF THE CENTURY

With the last of the wedding rehersals out of the way the big day is only just around the corner.

The wedding is set to be one of the most spectacular and most epensive weddings in the history "The Daily Telegraph".

Althought William & Catherine wanted to keep the occasion low key tomorrows wedding is tipped to cost $80 Million dollars.Most of the cost associated with the wedding is from shuttind down the local ecconomy for 24hours it will cost an estimated $6.4 billion in lost production.

Prince Charles & Princess Diana's wedding in 1981 cost approximatley $48 million dollars which would today come to $70 Million dollars.

Bride to Be conducted a survey and an Australian wedding would normally cost just under $50,000.
